Questionable Content?

It’s not riske site, neither a erotic reading, Questionable Content is a webcomic about mundane situations with a little futuristic sprinkle. It has computers with more advanced artificial intelligence than the ones of our times. These are the AntroPc, besides the ability to do whatever a real life computer can they talk, cause disaster and even have their version of Youtube when they upload videos of their owners doing wacky things. But those little futuristic elements are not the focus of the story, the star of the show is the “normal” people and their relationships with each other. There is not actually an objective to find on the story, and it didn’t finish when the boy got a girlfriend.

The charm in the comic is in the dialogue, they could be any conversation between you and me, but by the way is handled you don’t pass a single strip without a smile.

QC mocks EVERTYTHING: fashion, music, people who like music, sex, technology, stereotypes, television whatever the author has in his head in the moment, absolutely nothing is safe.

The strips start with Marten; Indie boy for passion, office bitch as occupation… really, that was his card says. And Pintsize his pervy, disastrous Antropc. After me we meet his best friend Steve, also indie but with more luck with the ladies. Faye, new in town and sassy extraordinaire. Later we meet Faye’s boss Dora, ex-goth in recovery and owner of the “Coffee of Doom” where Faye works. Later in the story new characters get add to the mix.

All the comic centers in these characters and the places they tend to go, mainly the “Coffee of doom” Since the focus are the dialogues and the evolutions of the characters. Months can pass before we get to the next day. It’s published on the webpage from Monday to Friday.

The art has really improved from the first strip; the author always tries to draw better each day. Every character has particularities and tries not to be a copy of each other; the girls have different body type not just a generic body for all. Some are curvy with wide hips, others are kind of boyish, others are really boyish, and it’s really nice to see a difference between them.

I checked every day. I have more than 2 years reading it and I like each new strip as much as I liked the first one. Its author, Jeph Jacques, doesn’t seem to run out creativity and his strip of the day it’s always a pleasure to see.
